Steven Black

Senior Sales Executive

Steven Black was born and raised in Durham NC until he moved to his home place in Wake Forest, NC. In 1986 Steven joined the local fire department as a volunteer as Jr Firefighter. Steven then started a job in December of 1986 at the local Roses Store. He graduated from High School in 1989 and started taking fire classes at night and emergency medical technician classes to be able to assist his community in their needs to better those around him in his community. He obtained my CNA certification and attended nursing classes and worked in an SNF on a rehab floor until his first child was on her way. He obtained a position in pediatrics working for some of the best pediatricians in Durham. After 3 years, Steven obtained a position in general medicine at Durham Regional Hospital and floated to the cardiac care floor, which he grew a love for because of the type of profoundly impacting service he was able to provide to those who needed it most. After moving to Raleigh, he obtained a position in Rex’s Emergency Room and called it home for seven years while continuing to volunteer at the local fire department, which was a truly honorable role he successfully fulfilled.

In 1993 he decided that his ability to fruitfully serve his community and connect with individuals in need drove him into the real estate industry. He graduated from the NC Real Estate class and sat for my NC Board and received his “Big Envelope” in February of 1994. The big envelope in the mail meant he had passed the exam, which was unsurprising given his dedication and devotion to serving others. This laid the groundwork for his focus to succeed in obtaining his real estate license. He started his real estate career shortly thereafter part-time in general brokerage. He of course continued as a volunteer firefighter and medical responder during this time. During class he studied property management and began realizing what their needs are to ensure that he properly worked with them in his expertise. Ironically, during this time, he began realizing how many properties needed excellent security but were not able to locate it. Of course, this is now different with Alliance Security and Investigations (ASI), given what a stellar and strong security and investigations company ASI is and it only continues to positively grow.

Stevens continued understanding in property management and their needs only continued to be perfected with his experience. Steven then obtained his Manufactured Housing Salesperson license from the NC Department of Insurance to practice real estate. He then signed up and took the NC Real Estate Broker classes and obtained his license in 1999. He obtained a position as Property Manager for an awesome company based in Durham, Ticon Properties and continued to practice as a Property Manager until May 2004. He continued to take fire classes at night and obtained Hazard Material Operations, NC FireFighter I, NC FireFighter II, NC EMT Intermediate, NC EMT Paramedic, and pursued an Emergency Medical Science Degree. His understanding for ensuring to provide a security need through fire fighting has served to further assist him in ASI as recognizing how we are able to provide our clients’ needs at the highest degree successfully.

After thirty years of service, Steven resigned to practice real estate full time. He decided to pursue something different and in utilizing his deep desire to provide a uniquely successful service of a higher degree than any other in the security and investigations industry, he found that working as a Senior Sales Executive at ASI to be that perfect fit. This is due to the fact that ASI stands for the same type of exceptional service that Steven always strives to provide for our community. Through Steven, ASI can prepare an assessment and execute a money-saving and effective plan to provide you with the best private security services or private investigations services available in North Carolina.
